This was me, last night.
I had been so satisfied with my divorce from Time Warner Cable and newfound romance with new kid in town, Aereo.
Dear Aereo, your customer service people did not solve my problem. They "responded" but failed to actually respond. Both by Twitter and by email.
You have that scent of barely out of college startup, so attractive to a tech cougar...and yet so unable to deliver on an adult interaction.
Sigh.
In the meantime, I'll have to catch up on my dammits, perimeters (any perimeters last night?) and creepy stylings of Lady Stark and her co-dependent daughter.
"M" was in the process of catching up last night...

Blog Another Day
Sigh. A real time response was too much to hope for from Aereo.
I will live to blog another day.
I will live to blog another day.
Double Dammit
Well, I was going to chortle about having vanquished Time Warner Cable, via Aereo.
Dammit if Aereo has failed on me for the first time since I got the service (in January)
Sigh.
Dammit if Aereo has failed on me for the first time since I got the service (in January)
Sigh.
Dammit!
The blogger UI has changed since the intrepid ladies of 24 last blogged.
Yikes.
We live tweeted the opening episode, rather than blogging. Good for engaging with others, lots of fun 24 denizens. Not so much for the flow.
That said, did the first 2 episodes -- 4 hours of Jack Bauer's life -- really make any sense at all?
The best was that Jack didn't say a word for much of the first episode. He glowered. He trotted out the stony-faced sneer.
He got captured to (sort of) rescue Chloe. There are tons of new people, Awwdrey is back. Chloe rocks the dusky eye look.
3 dammits, no perimeters, 2 women proven Evil and not Stupid (Caitlyn Stark and her daughter, the faux Russian hooker)...at least one handsome Black man who we fear might not make it...
We're not sure about the story line, we can't remember who some of the people are.
Gack, it's time!

Jack must have invented this technology
They say it's just theoretical, but I think that Jack has been using Quantum Entangled batteries for 8 seasons! They say there is truth in fiction.... Can't wait for Jack to come back!!!!

12?
"M" and I are beside ourselves with excitement. Jack will be back. From today's NY Times:
To do list:
Fox said “24: Live Another Day” would stick with the show’s original conceit, a 24-hour clock, but would skip some hours and condense others to fit into the 12-hour format. Kevin Reilly, the chairman of Fox Broadcasting, told reporters on a Monday morning conference call that 12 hours “is the perfect form” for “24” this time around because the spine of the past seasons had about 12 hours worth of action, with “little events and connective tissue in between.”Unbelieveable.
To do list:
- Try to remember anything that happened during previous seasons. Perhaps via epic bingewatching weekends on Netflix will help us to recall whether Jack was even still alive at the end of last season.
- "A" will have to figure out how to actually watch live, since she cut the cord right around the time that 24 gave up the ghost.
- "M" will have to see if she can still login to Blogger. And both "M" and "A" will have to figure out the new Blogger UI. Ugh. This looks like a Word document.
- We'll have to see if our gentle readership is still out there. All 8 of you. (Tai, where are you?)

Recap
Dammit= probably 6
Women Proven Stupid/Evil= Hmmm.
Female Heads of State Behaving to Type = 2
Female Heads of States Coming to Fisticuffs = almost 1
Days of our Lives Devoted to 24 = 7-ish
Handsome Dead Black Men =0 (and none this season, even the guy with the GQ cheekbones made it!)
Predictions true = this season, countless!
World Of Pain = constant. Jack, Chloe, Madame President...everyone is in a world of pain.
Open questions: Will someone really make a feature film from 24? "They" say yes. Should they? And who will show up in it? What happened to Tony? (And can anyone else, like Nina, come back from the dead?) Can we please have the 28 year old president wake up from his comatose state? He's the only one we've seen who can bring dignity and honor back to the fictional office of the President. (Not to mention our fictional law enforcement and armed services communities.) And uh, was there even a Vice President this season? And what happened to Jack's Soho based mercenary friend?
Our family members would like to know why we've devoted a week of our lives to 24. On the other hand, there are countless people who have devoted much more time to Dr.Phil and Oprah.
We have to salute some wonderful acting that sometimes almost made things seem plausible from time to time. (Mostly before this season, that is!)
Sigh. "M" will take a look at this tomorrow and weigh in...
Friends, it has been a slice. Sorry that my battle with Time Warner Cable (and real life, including "M"s newborn) wore into our blogging cycle. We're relieved and sad to let this go...

TV Magic
More soap opera recap.
And that, Jack, looking up at the drone camera at Chloe! Chloe, sob, tears.
Dammit, my friends, what a sappy ending.

WTH?
Hmm, plot twist!
Another dammit! But sorry, Madame President, I don't think that Logan is going to make it.

Madame POTIR
Might be about to throw an, um, elbow right where it might hurt Suvarov.
And Tim, you'd better get Madame President's attorney on the phone.

Ethan, You Weren't Evil
We need you back. Why did you leave Madame President to listen to Charles Logan?
