Memorial Day

"This is the use of memory:
For liberation -- not less of love but expanding
Of love beyond desire, and so liberation
From the future as well as the past."

-T.S. Eliot
"Little Gidding", III
The Four Quartets*

Hey A,

First time I've checked back in a while. Monday nights sure do seem strange now don't they?

I liked your Memorial day post. Thanks. Especially the re. to The Bhagavad-Gita. I'm so trying to get myself straight physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally. Exercise, has been helping a lot. However, in the last few days, got off track again. Anyhow, I'll keep trying. The reason I'm writing is because I'm taking a course I'm sure you would find interesting this weekend in Boston.

I am a Physician Assistant. Although I haven't worked in almost 5 years, I keep my certification up and re-take my boards every 6 years. Anyhow, my credits are due end of this month for this 2 year period. I am 15 credits shy of the 100. So I'm taking a course on Meditation and Psychotherapy for 14 credits! It has some interesting topics, demonstrations, etc. It promises to be helpful both personally and professionally.

So that's it for me. I'm looking forward to the two full day conference. I wonder if I should bring my yoga mat? I actually think so.

I'll let you know how it goes. Hope all is well. take care.

Wonderful!!! Enjoy. (And I can never think of a reason to leave a yoga mat behind, myself!)

I wonder if you'll have teachers from the UMass stress management program. I will definitely stay tuned!

And yes, Mondays are now officially odd.

Since all the season finales, our house has been quite quiet. Since last Tuesday, we have only turned on the TV once for the Hubby and I to watch Cars. "J" had seen it, so it was off to bed with him. The laundry is caught up and the house is getting in better order. Next I need to tackle this desk YIKES

Take care and I hope you have a good time at your course, LPK!

Hey A and M,

I will keep you posted on my course.

I'm also trying to do things around the house that have been neglected! aaagghhhh!!! it's tough work. I bet Jack couldn't really handle the mundane, gotta do stuff of life!!

I'm hoping for some enlightenment on getting the "routine" things done. Seems I'm much better when I'm off on some adventure, but this is not the best way to live.

My hubby is much better at the day to day. He's perfectly happy "trudging the road of happiness"!!! as he actually says.

We are very different this way, but somehow it seems to work out. Note: the hubby is glad to go on adventures with me.

That's all I've got! walk gently, LPK
