Previously on 24 3am - 4 am

Last week, we found Jack being ruthless and tender. I'll do my best to remember what happened!

The show started off with them about to kill off Marilyn who is about to get her head blown off due to her being hysterical when the Spawn Package is sent to Cheng. Jack (ruthless) stages a coup with the entire IT Team. He give the instructions without moving his lips. He has been taking lessons from the evil Veep.

Chloe, Morris and Nadia go all Rambo and help Jack kill off the hot Chinese terrorists. As I stated during the show, I need this IT training. I think a more little Kali Escrima and espada y daga training would help with people remembering to place work orders instead of stopping me in the hall. Sigh, I miss martial arts training, but I digress. The coup is successful with the help of Ricky who comes in the nick of time to save Nadia (I think). During the coup Jack gets knocked around in the floating rib fragments , I guess the will take care of the internal bleeding that he was supposed to have suffered several hours ago.

Jack bolts to the roof (or where ever) and instead of killing Cheng, Jack (tender) lets him escape to save Josh. The old Jack would have popped a cap in his @$$. Maybe he has been programmed and that is why he didn't kill Cheng. Where is Awwdrey? I still think that she is going to come back into play.

The blonde toady has been caught by the 28 year old boyfriend and he demands to know who else knows about him being a bad guy. Peeping Tom in the van states, "This can't be good" or something to that effect. Some how, I think that Secret Service would be staging much closer than the surveillance van. And whhhhyy was Tom even there in the first place?

Any way the Blonde Toady is half dead and taken away. The Boyfriend has been told that he will forward that message. Unfortunately, the Russians didn't trust the boyfriend either and he was under surveillance too. So they knew all about the States' diabolical plan to avert World War III. Karen gets the Evil Veep to get his head out of his 7th grade crush and run the country.

So we learn that Phil, Jack's dad, has the component, has found some hair gel and is demanding the Spawn be delivered to him by CTU. He will take the Spawn to a non-extradition treaty country. We are still trying to figure out what Phil has up his sleeve. What is so important about Josh?

Anyway, we had some good shoot and slide gun play by Jack, other than that? I think that is that... The two hour finale is in less than 24 hours, coincidence? I don't think so!!!! "A" any additions?

PS Remember that 24 starts an hour early for the exciting 2-hour event!!

Notes from "A": If I weren't madly cleaning my house for a book club meeting to be held here tomorrow evening, I'd want to add a most comprehensive list of loose ends that we can only hope the writers either tie up, or leave as a possibility for next season. Such as:
  • What ever happened to: TEYOP, Sandra, Walid, Peter Hock, Sergeant Flam (oh, yeah, that is an old movie), Kumar, Logan, Aaron, Jean Smart, Chad Lowe, the old chief of staff (the older balding guy with the glasses who seemed to work for every president before Tom)...Kim Bauer and her many erstwhile boyfriends????
  • If Awwwdrey can come back from the dead, how about Nina? (although if Jack kills you, you probably can't come back.)
  • How can Bill and Karen possibly salvage their marriage, now that she has fired him twice? And will the new guy from Division turn out to be Nadia's husband next season?
  • What year will it be when 24 resumes?
  • What will "M" and "A" do with their Monday evenings between now and next season?
  • Will "M"'s son "J" ever have any memory (active or repressed) of watching 24 during the first year of his life? (We'll know if he changes his name to "Jack" when he gets to high school...)
  • Will The Hubby's man purse have a good summer?
  • (Oops, those last three were real life, not 24)
  • Where is Jack's mom?

In the meantime, "M" and I will have to try to limit our posts tonight so that Blogger doesn't freeze us out as potential spammers...so, until 8pm (7 Central).
