While I know it's wrong.....
I"m laughing my head off at Jack's vein popping out of his head as he convulses.
Dammit!
Who is Jack Knowles? (Actor-wise? That's the guy I thought was Chris Cooper, but he's too young, I think.)
And now Jack is seizing. This is a neurological disorder, though one that in its non-WMD form takes some time for symptoms to develop. Mme. President's attempt to run tactical ops, sending Jack in for "visual confirmation" is probably not all that practical...

If Janeane Can Get Tony & Knowles Out
Why can't she just lock down and/or disarm the WMD?
(And I couldn't comment on the earlier events, like the inappropriate convo between Jack and Mme. President, due to a real life dinner engagement!)

OK, I've only got 15 minutes to post this. Go.Action opened up with Jack being scrubbed and hosed after exposure to a bioweapon, whose improbable characteristics I won't detail here. Suffice it to say that Jack's been hosed in more ways than one. (And surprisingly, neither "M" nor I found anything to say about Jack's underwear choice. I myself might have guessed he would go commando...)
The entire Sangala/Starkweather/terrorism connection is explained in about 4 sentences, soap opera style. (Writers, we think that's pretty lazy. Get some Red Bull in you and get back to work.)
Jack gets taken back to FBI HQ, while the rest of the FBI team goes over to Starkwood's compound. There is some discussion about whether they can take in military reinforcement to back them up against the 1500 mercenaries on site at Starkwood, and a spurious decision is made that this would be unconstitutional. (Thanks, Craig, for the research.)
Madame President has named her lipwear challenged none too resourceful and proven to be evil even if only by virtue of criminal stupidity daughter, Oilivia, as acting chief of staff to replace Possibly Evil (still, in my mind) Ethan.
Oily Olivia is either hitting on or attempting to co-opt our fair-haired Aaron, luring him out of retirement with her version of smolderly glances. (She doesn't smolder too well, though, it looks more like she's leering.) The Women of The 24 Blog believe that Aaron needs to keep the enemies of our country close, and take on the job so that he can ultimately thwart her oily plot. Whatever it is.
Tony is being held hostage. But then one of the bad guys, Greg (assistant to the dastardly Daddgelina) kind of sort of rescues him, shooting at least one of his own in the process. Greg knows where on the Starkwood compound the bioweapons are being held.
Tony, a highly trained government agent gone hardened criminal just takes Greg's conversion at face value.
Tony gets on the phone with Larry (whose number he has, how?) and gets Larry to call his new BFF, Madame President, and negotiates amnesty for Greg. It can happen that fast!
Yawn, there's also some annoying Jack-Renee-Larry whatever. Talk about girl on girl action: Larry to Renee, "I should have trusted you," Renee back to Larry, "No, I should have trusted you."
Bla, bla bla. And Jack, there's no cure for what ails him, I'm afraid. And he's in a World Of Pain.
The good guys go in to Starkwood (sans haz-mat gear, I have to say my local CERT team would be better equipped) as per Greg's advice.
Oops, it doesn't look like that's where the WMD is being held after all...and now we have a standoff.
Tony gives Greg what our family calls The Mean Face, when its executed by someone under 3 (or a youthful at heart dad).
And we're out. See you "live" tonight.

Yoga Pose of The Week: Improbable Inversion
"M" picked this pose, which should not be attempted by, say, anyone? I can't even figure out what it is, it is a combination of several things.(This yogini, from "Buzzle.com" is executing whatever pose it is beautifully. But I'm quite worried about her neck. You pretty much don't want to do that.)
Kind of like this week's episode. "M", you picked a flipping genius pose. Improbable, dangerous, and impossible to believe.
"M" also points out that this pose goes well with the rave music.
For now, I'll say no more.
Humpph!!
And I gave up reading to the lil man for this???
Jack is probably going to go and save the day!
I'm too disgusted to go through a recap personally...... There were no dammits, Dammit!
OK, I'll recap
Perimeter =0
Dammit =0
Bauer Kills =0
Women Proven Stupid/Evil =0
Handsome Black Men =1
Dead Handsome Black Men =2
Jack in a WOP = at least 2
"M" and "A" simultaneously posting the same thing =1 (and once we said it to one another via phone
Improbable phone convos between low level toadies and President = 2
Hair Gel Moments=0
Tony Needs a Facial Hair Intervention = Totally
We need someone to do an intervention with the writers. Bring them back their Red Bull and Annie's Cheddar Bunnies. We've invested some serious time in this season, and there ain't gonna be no bailout!
Anything else, anyone"

Gulp
I guess that the FBI didn't have enough back up with them to contend with 1500 mercenaries because why?
Greg?
Is he a bad guy? (Oldest trick in the book is to shoot one of your own guys...)
Boy, Tony sure gave him the Mean Face.

Can You Say, "Uneven"?
The Women of the 24 Blog pow-wowed at the commercial break. How can this week's episode be so lame, after the sharp uptick in the quality of last week's show?
We've had a couple of these false starts this season. Sigh...
